Felis rufus

The Bobcat is one of the highly specialized carnivores noted for their hunting ability. They have short faces, keen vision, powerful bodies and retractableclaws. They are nocturnal hunters.

Mostly found in scrubby open woodlands, thickets and swamps, the Bobcat is named for its short, "bobbed" tail.
