   It's time to sharpen your Geocaching skills!


CACHEAPALOOZA CREW be hosting the 2008 CacheaPalooza Geocaching Olympics
on Friday, December 5th, 2008, starting around 5:30 PM (Sunset will be 5:27 PM on this day). The activities in this event will test your
Geocaching skills, as well as your physical abilities, so you better be ready!

Activities will be:
 Guess the Ammo Can Weight
Closest to actual weight without going over wins.
Ammo Can Toss
Who can toss an ammo can the farthest? (No windups. Underhand toss only!)
Skirtlifter Dash
Run to the skirt, lift it, find micro, sign and date log, return as found, run back. Shortest time completing requirements wins.
GPSr "Etch-A-Sketch"
Draw a pre-determined image on your GPSr track recorder. Judges determine most accurate as winner.
Night Cache Punch-Out
Find a series of caches, and "Punch them out". Shortest time completing the most requirements wins.

Depending on the number of attendees, we may limit participation in these events.
Please indicate in your log how many in your party plan to participate.

You better begin your training regimen now.
You'll have to be at the top of your game to win the CacheaPalooza Geocaching Olympics!

The Olympics will be held near the KITCHING CREEK PAVILION.

The park gate closes somewhere around SUNSET, but that doesn't mean we all have to stop having FUN!!!

Make sure you ENTER THE PARK before say, no later than 4 PM? (If you're not already camping here)

There are plenty of things to do before this EVENT. OBSERVE ALL PARK TRAFFIC RULES WHILE COMPETING IN THE FINAL STAGE OF THIS EVENT!!! NO SPEEDING!!! NO WHEELS ON PAVEMENT!!! DON'T BLOCK A GATE!!! THERE WILL BE STATE OFFICERS IN THE PARK!!!

We stopped by and tried our hand at the Guess the Weight event, watched the skirtlifter dash for a while, but then we needed to head back to camp. Fun idea, thanks!
